Birthdays finished. We rounded out the humongous weekend with a trip to the local second-run theatre to see Despicable Me. My wife hates animated features, except Toy Story, though I did hear her laughing here and there throughout the feature. She liked the story of the three little kittens. I like the story of the unicorn.
So here's the review, in four single-word sentences, as uttered by my son upon standing up to put on our jackets after it finished:
"Uh. That. Was. Weird."
LOL I can't say I disagree that it is weird, but I really enjoyed the movie. It's not life-changing, but it has plenty of good laughs, and I think it lives up to its role as a cute/funny family movie well.
ReplyDeleteWe all had a blast. My little girl's favorite part was when Vector got run over by the moon. My boy's favorite was "when the two guys said, 'oh, poop.'"

I agree. It is well worth going to see, but it's not "Toy Story," as animated movies go. Still a lot better than a lot of the stuff that Hollywood puts out these days.
